TH Properties Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tabung Haji (TH), formed a strategic partnership with SD Guthrie Bhd (SD Guthrie). The partnership seeks to drive growth through various investments and development projects.
At present, the current focus is on the establishment of Malaysia’s first Halal Malaysia (HALMAS)-certified managed industrial park. The park, which spans 187.77 hectares, is located in Bukit Pelandok, Negeri Sembilan.
The two companies formalised their commitment to this development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Not to mention, the industrial park is also part of the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) plan, with the land’s estimated market value exceeding RM220 million.
Situated only 16 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and linked by a major highway network, the park is ideally positioned for businesses.
TH Properties board member Dato Wan Hashimi Albakri Jaffri showed optimism regarding the new development. He believes it will have an essential role in bolstering the MVV 2.0 initiative, promoting economic growth, and creating job opportunities.
SD Guthrie Group Managing Director Mohamad Helmy Othman Basha highlighted the development’s proximity to existing technology parks. He noted that this would provide small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) with a unique opportunity to benefit from the available facilities and business ecosystem.
Moving forward, TH Properties and SD Guthrie intend to explore additional collaboration opportunities. The next phase of the project may see the set-up of additional facilities.
Following the successful establishment of Techpark 1 and Techpark 2 in Bandar Enstek, the Bukit Pelandok project and Techpark 3 are positioned to become Malaysia’s top halal hubs.
There will be a variety of purpose-built factory options. These include detached, semi-detached, and linked units, as well as vacant industrial plots tailored to diverse business needs. Regardless, the project will seamlessly integrate sustainability practices and set new standards for the Bukit Pelandok community.
Techpark 3 is expected to achieve sales performance comparable to its predecessors. With a gross development value (GDV) of RM1.4 billion, Techpark 3 is anticipated to reach full occupancy for its first phase, covering 76 hectares, this year, with strong interest from both local and multinational parties.
