Lim Keong Han, the grandson of Genting Group founder Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, is entering the US$4.3 trillion global health and wellness sector with the launch of Pegasus Aqua Sdn Bhd’s molecular resonance effect technology (MRET) water activator in Southeast Asia.
Lim said in a statement on June 28 that his grandfather first introduced the family to the restorative and curative properties of MRET-activated water.
“Inspired by his positive testimonials and encouraged by the potential growth of the health and wellness market in Malaysia and across the world, we decided that the timing is ideal for expanding this device in the region,” he said.
According to him, the Pegasus Aqua MRET Water Activator is currently the only device that is authorised in Southeast Asia to use the patented molecular resonance effect technology, which modifies the molecular bonds of water molecules to improve absorption by human body cells.
Consuming MRET-activated water, said Lim, has been demonstrated to provide benefits for both healing and rejuvenation through increased hydration. He said Russian scientist and inventor Dr Igor Smirnov and his study group discovered MRET 20 years ago.
He added that MRET-activated water had since gained popularity in key markets such as the US, Japan and Europe.
By becoming the current and only exclusive distributor of the MRET Water Activator in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, Pegasus Aqua aims to market this unique technology in the high-growth Southeast Asia market.
“Pegasus Aqua intends to leverage the growing affluence in the Southeast Asia region and high demand for quality and innovative health and wellness products to carve a strong niche for our MRET Water Activator and achieve our revenue target of over RM20 million in the next two to three years,” said Lim.
According to him, citing ResearchAndMarkets.com, the global health and wellness market had a value of US$3.3 trillion (RM14.54 trillion) in 2021 and is projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 4.2 per cent from 2022 to 2027 to reach US$4.3 trillion. — The Health
